Afshin Yazdani (Owner): Immigrants Life is the brainchild of Iranian-born Canadian lawyer, television host, columnist, and law professor Mr Afshin Yazdani. He began his career as a lawyer and law professor in Iran in 2004 and thereafter went on to become a legal advisor, while continuing his career as a law professor in Dubai from 2008. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 2019 after successfully completing a Master’s Degree in Canadian Common Law from York University, graduating from Osgoode Hall Law School where he obtained his Certificate of Qualification from the National Committee on Accreditation (NCA) in 2016 and studied an Immigration Consultant and Civil and International Law programme at Lasalle College in Montreal. He became a member of ICCRC (Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council) in 2016.
Interesting fact: Among his many accolades, the humble yet motivated father of one, is currently admitted on three international law boards namely Canada, Dubai and Iran.
Shervin Solhi (Marketing Director): Shervin is a Senior Full Stack Developer and Marketing Manager at YLG – Yazdani Law Group, and YLG Business Angel Investor. He comes from a strong programming background spanning two decades. He has a B.A. in Computer Science and as a member of the team, he brings fresh perspective on the latest JavaScript and PHP coding trends and Web Design. He has worked at several large companies including YLG, Mercedes-Benz, Mazda etc in Canada. He led several developments projects, and has helped to integrate dynamic functionality into the infrastructures of many existing companies. He also has strong leadership experience in addition to his ability to mange multiple projects at once.

Veruschka Mungroo (Editor – in Chief): Born in the picturesque landscape of South Africa, Veruschka began her career as a journalist for one of the largest global media houses, Independent Media Group. She specialised in entertainment journalism and her career highlights included exclusive interviews with the likes of Priyanka Chopra, Bryan Adams, Russell Peters, the Kardashian family, lead actors of Mission Impossible 3, etc. She is also no stranger to contentious issues and has written on crime, politics, human interest and community stories. In 2013, she went on to launch her own communications agency, Paradigm Marketing and won accounts with Fortune 500 corporations such as The Walt Disney Company, Omnicom, etc. She was instrumental in launching a local Disney channel that now (two years after its launch) boasts more than 5.5 million daily viewers. Soudeh Ghaffari Pour (Senior Editor): Born in Iran, Soudeh graduated with a degree in Fashion Design. Her passion and talent for design took her into the digital world which launched her career in graphic designing. With more 10 years experience , she is an expert digital and social media content creator specialising in video content. Apart from her love for digital design, Soudeh also has a fashion gallery, Edna Mode that she launched in 2012 and a catering business, Soodifood.
Interesting fact: Soudeh loves to travel and and her favourites paces include Sweden, Australia, France, Spain, China, Dubai and Istanbul. She is an animal lover, nature lover and her favourite food is Persian and Italian
Amir Tavakkoli (Web Developer): born in Iran, He is a student of Computer Science at the Kharazmi University of Tehran. He has been interested in the digital world since childhood which led him to start programming at the age of 13. He has many adventures in different fields of the digital world and has finally chosen web development, started his professional career at the age of 18 working in a company as a web developer and content creator, This is just the beginning of his adventure, and he wants to experience different events every year.
